--Fall 2017 Recruitment night: Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017!
6 p.m., Marshall Elementary

We have members from Marshall, Waterloo, and the surrounding area, and we'd love for you to join us... boys and their families (Scouting welcomes and benefits the whole family)!

Is your family new to Scouting? Bring questions!

Have you been away from Scouting for a generation, or have family that have participated? Do you have memories of pinewood derbies, whittling chips, and campfire cooking that you want to share with your next generation? How about sports, crafts, games, hikes, and sleepovers?  What about programming, or moviemaking, or internet safety?  You'll see old favorites and new adventures!

Along with den meetings and rank advancement, we are planning outings for the upcoming months. These include opportunities for family camping, a day trip to the haunted house and BB range at our region's camp, our Fall movie and activity sleepover, and a January overnight at a museum.  The Pinewood Derby, Blue & Gold Banquet, Winterfest, and Rocketry will follow in 2018.  The program is shaped by the interest and participation of the pack members and their families: ideas welcome!

Cub Scouting (first through fifth grade boys)

Everything in Cub Scouting is designed to have the boys doing things.

Activities are used to achieve the aims of Scouting - citizenship training, character development, and personal fitness. Many of the activities happen right in the den and pack. The most important are the weekly den meetings and the monthly pack meetings.

Apart from the fun and excitement of Cub Scout activities, the Cub Scout Promise, the Law of the Pack, and the Cub Scout sign, handshake, motto, and salute all teach good citizenship and contribute to a boy's sense of belonging. Click here to read the Cub Scout FAQ's.
